Every story blends prose and artwork into a single cinematic experience. Text carries you through; artwork lands the blow. Pages move between dense narrative and full-bleed panels the way a manga moves between dialogue and a splash page — so the story is read as much as it's seen.
The tropes are recognisable — the training arcs, the rivalries, the slow-burn dread, the last-page gut-punch. What's new is where they live: red dirt and rust-belt towns, harbour cities and fire-season skies. Familiar beats, told somewhere you haven't seen them told before.
